We are a Christian organization founded on the belief people need access to safe, decent, and affordable housing in order to live and grow into all God intends. Turning Point serves God by serving others.
As we partner with churches we are able to fulfill our mission to demonstrate the love and teachings of Jesus Christ. Churches provide essential prayer support and valuable resources that help serve families in need of an affordable home. We provide an opportunity for churches to put their faith into action.
Church Partnerships With Turning Point
The prayer, financial and volunteer support that churches provide is the backbone of Turning Point’s work. The partnership works both ways, as Turning Point benefits the church because the doing of faith is critical. One of the signs of a healthy congregation is when members can look beyond themselves and look toward others.
Volunteering with Turning Point is about being connectional. It is about 60-80 year-old women making lunches. It is about a 14 year old helping clean up a new home. It is the experience of knowing we are capable of working together to make something happen. It also provides us with a missional identity. It allows us to be a proactive player in God’s justice raining down in Edmond in the form of affordable housing. Working with Turning Point is where the church operates outside the church’s walls.
Smaller Churches Partnering With Other Small Churches
Many hands make light work. A perfect opportunity for a smaller church that may not have the financial or volunteer capacity to Adopt a Home on their own. This way more churches are able to participate in the excitement and joy of Adopting a Home and seeing a family realize their dreams.
