Turning Point Ministries shares, along with the citizens of Edmond, in the loss of Mayor Charles Lamb. We extend our sincere condolences and prayers to his family. Mr. Lamb was instrumental in the City of Edmond’s involvement in bringing our neighborhoods Legacy Station and Heritage Village to fruition. He knew that the City of Edmond had talked a long time about helping with affordable housing and he was ready to make sure it happened — just one of the many legacies of service he leaves behind in our community. May God bless and comfort the family of Charles Lamb during this time of loss.

On August 19, 2018 we celebrated home ownership with Andrea Wood and her family. Future neighbors, Turning Point volunteers and Andrea’s family all gathered to dedicate and bless their new home in Legacy Station. Thank you to everyone who supports Turning Point for giving the opportunity of home ownership to families like the Woods.
In order to become a home owner through Turning Point, people go through a lengthy process that includes a home buyer education class, a budget and planning process, and sweat equity volunteer work toward their home or other Turning Point projects. We have recently incorporated Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University into this process as well. We desire the process that our families go through and the resulting home ownership to be a turning point in their lives. For families that have struggled financially, Financial Peace University has shown to be a turning point as well.
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting our first Financial Peace University class so that in addition to impacting Turning Point families we can bless the Edmond community as well. The class is available for anyone in the area who would like to join us. We are grateful to 1st Presbyterian Church of Edmond for providing their facilities for the class. The class begins Monday, April 23 at 7:00 p.m. If you would be interested in attending you may register and purchase your class materials through this link: https://www.fpucentral.com/classes/1064151/registration
