Financial Peace University Now Part of the Turning Point Process

In order to become a home owner through Turning Point, people go through a lengthy process that includes a home buyer education class, a budget and planning process, and sweat equity volunteer work toward their home or other Turning Point projects. We have recently incorporated Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University into this process as well. We desire the process that our families go through and the resulting home ownership to be a turning point in their lives. For families that have struggled financially, Financial Peace University has shown to be a turning point as well.

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting our first Financial Peace University class so that in addition to impacting Turning Point families we can bless the Edmond community as well. The class is available for anyone in the area who would like to join us. We are grateful to 1st Presbyterian Church of Edmond for providing their facilities for the class. The class begins Monday, April 23 at 7:00 p.m. If you would be interested in attending you may register and purchase your class materials through this link:

Turning point is pleased to announce that on Sunday, April 15 at 2 pm we will hold another Turning Point home dedication. Samantha Boyd and her family are the excited new homeowners.  Please join us and other supporters of Turning Point to bless her new home at 217 Promise Way. The home is located in Heritage Village between Thatcher and Hurd on the west side of Fretz in between Danforth and 2nd street.

We were pleased to bless the home of Gabriel and Deborah Conteh yesterday at a Turning Point home dedication ceremony. Many of their family members, friends of Turning Point and board members were there to celebrate with them. Turning Point families work hard to become homeowners. They attend classes, work with an assigned mentor, create budgets, and volunteer their time for the construction of their home and donate time to community service. Thank you to everyone who attended the dedication and to everyone who helps Turning Point make homeownership a reality for families like the Contehs.

New Home Dedications

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming dedications of two Turning Point homes. Turning Point Home Dedications include a meaningful blessing ceremony and light refreshments. Please join us for an opportunity to meet and celebrate with the new homeowners and see their lovely new home, built with your support.
